To be eligible for sponsorship or partnership consideration, kindly choose one of the categories below and complete the necessary forms after thoroughly reviewing the provided guidelines.

Please ensure that you submit your sponsorship proposal at least 2 weeks before the scheduled event or activity. This allows us ample time to review your proposal, engage in agreement negotiations, and plan our involvement accordingly.

Our evaluation process will primarily focus on the tangible benefits your proposal offers, such as return on investment, media exposure, and publicity. We will make every effort to respond to your application promptly.

We genuinely appreciate your interest in Drukair as a potential sponsor or partner.

 

FAM Trips are essential for nurturing a deeper understanding of Bhutan's unique offerings among industry professionals. These trips often hosted (sponsored) by esteemed Tour Operators and, or Hotels in Bhutan, undergo thorough vetting by the Department of Tourism in Bhutan, ensuring their credibility and alignment with Bhutan's tourism objectives. As a result, FAM Trips represent a respected multilateral initiative within the tourism industry.

Acknowledging the significance of such collective initiatives as vital collaborations aimed at bolstering Bhutan's tourism sector, Drukair is committed to actively participating as an equal partner in these efforts, furthering the industry's promotional endeavors.

To uphold this commitment and to help us facilitate a fair and streamlined evaluation process, we encourage legitimate and genuinely interested international travel agents to apply by following the below guidelines:

  1. International travel agents seeking Drukair's support for Familiarization (FAM) trips must obtain SDF waiver approval from the Department of Tourism (DoT). This approval ensures credibility and legitimacy.
  2. Each travel company can receive support for a maximum of its 2 agents.
  3. FAM trips should be hosted or sponsored by a Bhutanese Tour Operator or hotel.
  4. Travel agents must commit to measurable and visible marketing activities for Drukair in exchange for support.
  5. Drukair will evaluate FAM Support Requests based on the agent's profile, marketing collateral quality, business reputation, previous sales for Drukair, and potential for future sales.
  6. The hosting Tour Operator or Hotel is responsible for ensuring the visiting travel agent fulfills pledged marketing support.
  7. Applicants must be from the sales or product department, capable of directly promoting/selling Drukair. Company heads can also apply for FAM trips.
  8. Any abuse of the system by international travel agents, local hotels, or Tour Operators may result in a minimum 3-year ban from FAM trip supports, with potential additional penalties.
  9. FAM trips can take place year-round without blackout dates, subject to availability. Drukair reserves the right to reject any applications at its discretion without the need to provide reasons.

Travel agents must submit a completed 'FAM Trip Support Request Form' - (Click to View/Download!) and necessary documents by the specified deadline via email to marketing@drukair.com.bt.

We are open to considering sponsorship requests from various categories, including Influencer/KOL and Press Trips, events, sports, community initiatives, and industry collaborations. Guideline for Submitting Sponsorship Requests

To ensure a smooth evaluation process and maximize the potential for a successful partnership, we kindly request that you submit your sponsorship request with the following guidelines:

  1. Clear Objectives: Clearly define the objectives of your sponsorship request. What do you aim to achieve through this partnership, and how does it align with Drukair's values and mission?
  2. Deliverables: Outline the specific deliverables and benefits that Drukair can expect from this sponsorship. This may include branding opportunities, promotional activities, or any other tangible returns.
  3. Alignment: Explain how your initiative or event aligns with Drukair's goals and values, and why it is a suitable partnership for us.
  4. Contact Information: Include your contact information, including a valid email address and phone number, for effective communication.
  5. Submission: Please submit your sponsorship request with all relevant details to marketing@drukair.com.bt. Ensure that your proposal is clear and concise.
  6. Timeliness: Submit your request well in advance (at least four weeks in advance) of your event or initiative to allow for adequate evaluation and planning.
